Hi! My name's Brandi and I hand craft unique, one of a kind hats out of 100% various reclaimed materials. Sometimes I'll use fun colored cashmere, angora and wool sweaters making the caps not only fashionable and elegant, but functional and cozy too. Other times I'll incorporate a funky patterned blazer or a richly textured skirt-- gotta mix & match it up! Because I'm always trying to creatively make use of every last shred of material, making the embellishments is without a doubt my favorite part of the cap making process. I've produced some pretty fun florets and neat leaf patterns out of broken zippers and clothing seams. And just when I think there's nothing new to do-- presto!-- something else presents itself! Upcycling has become the evolution of recycling-- reusing materials and repurposing them into something new and different, valuable and useful, or simply aesthetically pleasing.
